Terms of Service
These terms govern your website design and hosting agreement with LocalTradeSite. Plain English — no fine print games.
What We Provide
LocalTradeSite ("we," "us") provides professional website design and hosting services to local trade businesses ("you," "client"). Your service includes:
- A custom-designed, mobile-friendly website built for your business
- Hosting on our platform for the duration of your agreement
- Basic content updates upon request (hours, phone, services)
- SSL certificate and security maintenance
- Your site accessible at a localtradesite.com/your-business URL or your own custom domain
Plans & Billing
We offer two billing plans. Both include identical services — the only difference is billing frequency.

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By providing your payment information you authorize us to charge the applicable fee on a recurring basis until the agreement is cancelled per Section 4.
No setup fee. Your first charge is your first month or year of service — never a one-time build fee. The design is on us.
Auto-Renewal
Both plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
- Monthly plan — renews every 30 days. Cancel anytime before the next billing date to stop future charges.
- Annual plan — renews every 12 months. You will receive an email reminder 30 days before your renewal date. To cancel before renewal, you must notify us at least 7 days before the renewal date.
Renewal charges are non-refundable once processed. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 7 days and we will review it.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your service at any time by contacting us at matt@tinybiz.com.
Monthly plan cancellations: Your site remains live through the end of the current paid month. No further charges occur after cancellation is confirmed. No partial-month refunds.
Annual plan cancellations: Because annual plans are paid in full upfront, no refunds are issued for unused months within the current annual term. Your site remains live through the end of the paid year. After the year ends, no renewal will be charged.
12-month minimum commitment. Both plans require a minimum 12-month commitment from the date of first payment. Cancellations during the first 12 months do not entitle the client to a refund of any charges already made. After 12 months, you may cancel at any time per the terms above.
Domain Names
Domain name arrangements depend on your situation at signup:
You already own a domain: We will connect your existing domain to your LocalTradeSite website at no extra charge. You retain full ownership of that domain at all times.
We purchase a domain on your behalf: If you do not own a domain, we will purchase one for your business and register it under our account. The following applies:
- The domain remains the property of LocalTradeSite for the duration of the service agreement.
- If you cancel after completing your minimum 12-month term, you may purchase the domain from us for a flat transfer fee of $50, after which it is yours outright.
- If you cancel before completing the minimum 12-month term, the domain reverts to LocalTradeSite and you forfeit rights to it without refund or transfer.
- If you continue on an active plan, the domain remains connected to your site with no additional fees.
Default URL: All sites are accessible at a localtradesite.com/your-business subdirectory at no extra cost. A custom domain (e.g., smithplumbing.com) is optional and subject to the terms above.
What Happens When You Leave
When your service ends — whether by cancellation or non-payment — the following occurs:
- Your site is taken offline within 48 hours of the service end date.
- Your site files (the HTML code we built for you) are available for download upon request for 30 days after cancellation. After 30 days, files are deleted and not recoverable.
- Domains we purchased revert to our ownership per Section 5.
- Domains you own remain yours — we simply disconnect them from our hosting. You are free to point them elsewhere immediately.
- Your content (text, images, reviews you provided) belongs to you and is included in the downloadable files.
If you want to move your site to another host after cancellation, we will provide your site files in a standard HTML format. We don't lock you in beyond the agreed term.
Non-Payment
If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you by email. You will have a 7-day grace period to update your payment method before your site is suspended. Sites suspended for non-payment are taken offline but files are retained for 30 days, giving you time to resolve the issue and restore service.
Accounts more than 30 days past due are considered cancelled and subject to the terms in Section 6. Reactivation after cancellation for non-payment requires a new agreement and setup.
Our Responsibilities
We commit to:
- Keeping your site online with reasonable uptime (target: 99%+)
- Delivering your initial demo site within 48 hours of receiving your business information
- Responding to content update requests within 3 business days
- Notifying you 30 days before any price changes take effect
- Never selling your business information to third parties
Your Responsibilities
By using our service you confirm that:
- You are authorized to operate the business the site represents
- Any content, images, or information you provide is accurate and you have the right to use it
- You will keep your payment method current to avoid service interruption
- You will not use your LocalTradeSite website for illegal activity or content
Support
Your monthly plan includes up to 1 hour of support per month at no additional charge. Support includes content updates, troubleshooting, and general questions about your site.
Support time beyond the included hour is billed at $100 per hour, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. We will notify you before performing any work that would exceed your included hour so you can approve it first.
Unused support hours do not roll over to the following month.
Privacy & Text Messaging
We may collect certain personal information in connection with our services, including contact details provided during signup or communication. This information is used solely to deliver and support your service.
All categories of personal information we collect exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify active clients by email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
